About Me
Stepping into my final year of high school and the journalism program, it has been an honor looking back upon my experience in the team. It is incredible to have grown alongside all of you! When I first joined as a sophomore last year, I was mostly focused on checking off my own assignments and articles. But somewhere along the lines, I really began to fall in love with the process of design and putting a newspaper together as a team.

I have learned that making a great issue is so much more than just writing articles and taking photos. It's about communicating across the entire program and solving layout problems on the fly, staying steady even when a deadline is just hours away. Having to stay composed and work things out in high-pressure situations has defined how I approach challenges, and I believe that leadership is about being the person that others can rely on when the pressure is the highest.

I am running for a Winged Post strategic position because I want to make our process as strong as the ideas we have. I would like to bridge the gap between reporting and design so every page feels incredibly cohesive. This way, our strong designers can really flourish together! I also want to make sure our staff has the structure and communication they need to succeed without staying in the trenches for too long. I am fully committed to the success of our program, and I am ready to step up ahead of this great year.
